Located in the bustle and hustle of Chinatown, Jackey Café has added an exciting dimension to the vibrant dining scene, through its continued dedication to bringing the most flavorful food to the local area for over five decades. The restaurant serves mainly Cantonese cuisine, Szechuan cuisine and Fuzhou cuisine. Eight chefs in the restaurant are in charge of cooking different dishes respectively. Many of the dishes are distinctive and full of creation. Sesame Chicken is a good example. It is made of diced chicken and honeydew is added, which makes the chicken crispy outside and soft inside. On the menu, you can find new dishes popping out periodically. Never will the newest trend of Chinese food be missed. Recently, Hot & Sour Rice Noodle, a trendy snack of Hong Kong, was added on the menu. Other new dishes include Empress Chicken, Phoenix Roll, etc. With great popularity among customers, the restaurant was voted to attend Food Network, a famous TV program. On TV, the owner, Peter Ko showed many methods of cooking preserved eggs and told the audiences about the nutritional value of preserved eggs: no cholesterol. In the year of 1960, Father of Peter opened the restaurant, and five decades later, Jackey Cafe maintained authentic Chinese flavor, and its original intention of promoting real Chinese food. |
